One healthy and humble breakfast enjoyed by adults and kids alike. Really simple yet very nutritious and tasty. Does need a bit of pre prep but worth the effort in the end as it is diet friendly, diabetes friendly and also kids friendly protein packed super healthy breakfast made with millets.
Ingredients
1 measure urid dal ( soaked for 5-6 hours)
1n half to 2 measure of Ragi powder
Salt to taste
Method
- Drain the Water and Grind the urid dal to a fine paste. Now mix it well with your hand and cover it tight. Place the container in a warm corner of the kitchen to ferment overnight
- Add the ragi powder and mix well to incorporate with urid batter such that no lumps are formed.
- Add salt
- heat a Dosa pan u till smoking hot , now add a ladle full of Dosa batter and spread it into circle shape thin Dosa or if you like medium thick .
- pot a spoon full of ghee from sides and a little on top of the Dosa as well. Let it roast for 2 mins
- Flip Turn the Dosa and let it roast for half minute.
- serve hot with choice of chutney or pickles or even delicious butter
